1. Generalized Overview Presentation
- Obtain the foundational knowledge needed to be able to read and interpret undesirable behaviors and the reasons why a person is behaving inappropriately. Reinforcement based strategies for behavior change will be explained and will provide you with a variety of techniques to choose from given your specific circumstances. Real life visuals will be incorporated into the presentation so that you can get an idea of how these behavior change concepts can be brought into reality.
- Presentation time approximately 60-90 minutes
2. Hands on Behavior Workshops
- In addition to a generalized overview of research based behavior strategies (see description above), you will receive hands on training through a variety of role play situations on how to implement different behavior change interventions. You will create and take home materials that can be customized for your specific needs. The goal of the behavior workshop is for participants to leave with not only an understanding of a variety of behavior strategies, but also feeling confident in using them.
- Workshops can also be narrowed down to specific behavior strategies that participants are needing more training on and more practice implementing in conjunction with an individualized training (see above).
- The workshops range from 2 hours to full day sessions depending on the content.
- The Workshops are presented by an authorized Continuing Education (ACE) Provider and meet the requirements for Continuing Education Units for BCBA and BCaBA certificants.
3. Follow Up Consultations and Training
- Recurring meetings available to adjust behavior plans and training of participants as needed.
