As the old proverb says, "It takes a village to raise a child."
The Kehlenbeck Center believes that individuals of any age who are special learners not only need a village, but they need villagers who understand them and the way they learn in order to see their strengths as well as support them with their challenges. That is why we offer a variety of services which can help the caregivers and clients live in a more educated community that has the knowledge and skills to include people of all abilities in ways that are constructive, purposeful, and allow all parties to benefit.
You do not need to be receiving ABA therapy to take advantage of the services below.
Set up your meet and greet to talk to a BCBA who can help!
If you would like a BCBA to virtually attend your IEP meeting, you have found the right company. Even if the student is not a client of TKC, we can use our foundational knowledge of effective positive behavior techniques to help you ask the right questions, make suggestions for the student, and interpret all the special education lingo schools use. Our goal is that you walk away feeling like you fully understand what happened at your meeting.
Set up a meeting with yourself and the teacher and bring a BCBA with you. We love to work cooperatively with teachers to try to implement effective reinforcement strategies into their classrooms. Our professionals understand the additional logistics that teachers need to consider such as class size, time restraints, environmental factors etc. and will work diligently to brainstorm a plan that will work in the classroom setting.
Do you want educational professionals to understand your student in a way that not only specifies their challenges, but also highlights their skills and abilities? At TKC we can provide training for school administrators, teachers, maintenance staff, or even classmates! We have found that the more people know and understand, the better equipped they are to understand and assist special learners.
We know that not all professionals are transparent with their paperwork and often leave you with information that is difficult to interpret. With this service, a BCBA can review your documents, explain to you what is being said and answer any questions you might have.
Did you ever wish that your doctor, dentist, hair stylist etc. understood better how to work with you and your special needs learner? TKC would be more than happy to explain the situation and present the community member with skills based in the foundational concepts of ABA to help make these experiences more positive for everyone.
Fees are $100 per hour.
This includes the time it take the BCBA to review and prepare for your case. For this reason, the price will vary depending on the complexity of each situation.
Please feel free to discuss any concerns you may have with payment during your Meet and Greet.
